The Funchal Marathon is a sporting event of an international nature which takes place annually in the city of Funchal and that brings together athletes from many countries, in a trend more pronounced in leisure and recreation not forgetting of course the competitive part. This sports event consists of three main races, the Funchal Marathon, the Funchal Half Marathon and the Mini marathon. 

This course is flat and almost entirely on a closed, attractively landscaped circuit, offering the perfect setting for healthy competition between athletes from different nationalities.
