Fran is a former state netballer and champion runner who turned her love of sport and travel into a lifelong career. From managing IT at a national level to working on the Sydney 2000 Olympics and founding RunFun Travel, she’s measured courses worldwide and now helps others explore the world through running.
Dave is Mr Marathon – the longest serving race director in the world with decades of experience in distance running. A former elite runner with 31 marathons under his belt, Dave has held major roles in global athletics, including Race Director for the Sydney Olympic Marathons, a Grade A course measurer, and long-time board member of AIMS.

Guaranteed entry means your race spot is confirmed through RunFun Travel — no ballot, no waiting list, no uncertainty. Once you book your package with us, you can rest assured you’ll be on the start line.
Fully Escorted Trips are designed for runners who enjoy travelling as part of a small group. These packages include on the ground support, group activities and a team atmosphere to share the experience.
Fully Independent Travel (FIT) is a flexible option for those who prefer to travel solo or at their own pace. You can Enter the event and Book Accommodation via lilnks on our website, with the freedom to explore independently.
Absolutely! Many of our runners bring family or friends along. Where would marathons be without supporters! We design our packages so that non-runners can enjoy the destination and be part of the marathon atmosphere without needing to lace up.
Not at all. We welcome runners of all levels – from first timers to seasoned marathoners. Our focus is on creating an unforgettable experience, whether you’re chasing a personal best or just looking to soak up the atmosphere.
That’s where our expertise comes in. With over 30 years of marathon and travel experience, we’ll help you choose the race that matches your running goals, travel style and dream destinations.
Each package varies depending on the destination and style of trip, but generally includes guaranteed race entry, accommodation and on the ground support and guidance. We also provide race information, local tips and optional sightseeing to help you make the most of your journey.
Currently we have guaranteed entries to five of the seven WMM. We can certainly assist you with hints and tips about all of the WMM, whether or not we have guaranteed entries. We’ll work with you to create a plan and provide the travel and entry support you need to achieve your Abbott Six Star Medal.
Our specialty is marathons and we stick with the program on this one. Often, there are Half Marathons and/or shorter options linked to the Marathon event and we certainly support these options. We can't be everything to everyone but we can certainly be many things to many people.
